COURSE OBJECTIVES
Course Title: Instructor Development Course
Target Audience: Active Police Officers and Community members
Length of Training: Eight Hours (40hrs.) In-service Credit
Delivery Format: Interactive/Lecture
Course Purpose: This course of study is required prior to receiving certification as a law enforcement training instructor. The training is designed to improve and develop teaching skills.
The following topics will be covered:
- Adult learning principles and techniques
- Effective communication
- Classroom management
- Lesson planning and organizing
- Use of visual aids
