Course Objectives
Course Title: Problem Solving
Target Audience: Active Police Officers and Community members
Length of Training: Eight Hours (8hrs.) In-service Credit
Delivery Format: Interactive/Lecture
Course Purpose: The objectives of the course are as follows:
· To develop an understanding of the limitations of the criminal justice system.
· To develop an understanding of the problem solving (SARA) model.
· To understand the need to identify and use different resources to be an effective problem solver.
· To apply the problem solving process to practice case studies and group exercises.
